How to set up an email on iOS iPhone
1 – Find the settings
Let’s jump straight in. Find your settings which is the grey gear icon. Scroll down to Mail > Accounts and then click Add Account you should then be faced with this screen where you select Other
2 – Enter your supplied details
Name – Enter the text you wish to appear in someones inbox when you send them an email. Generally your own name. You may also want to include the business name.
Email – Enter your full email address
Password – Carefully enter your password
Description – This is just for you, it will appear as the mailbox inside the mail application on your phone. Personally, I like to use the email address. Keeps it simple.
Double, triple quadruple check – One typo here and your emails will not work.
3 – More details please
Some details will already be filled in here, we just need fill the remainder.
Incoming mail server – Enter the details supplied to you, likely mail.yourdomain.com.au
Username – Enter your full email address
Password – Enter your password
Outgoing mail server – Enter the details supplied to you, likely mail.yourdomain.com.au
Username – Enter your full email address again (it does suggest this is optional, but it is required)
Password – Enter your password (it does suggest this is optional, but it is required)
Carefully re-read – Have a look over it, make sure there are not typos. Easier to fix them now than troubleshoot later.
5 – Tick, tick tick
Once verified you should ticks down the right hand side. Fantastic, you’re so close.
6 – Just mail thanks
Be sure mail is on and notes are off then click save, top right.
Once you have saved, you can hit the home button. Navigate to your Mail application and send away.
